Inhalt: Maria (Angeliki Papoulia) war stets eine fursorgliche Mutter, ihrem Mann eine gute Frau und ihrer eigenen Mutter eine vorbildliche Tochter. Doch damit ist nun Schluss. Sie hat schweren Herzens beschlossen, ihr bisheriges, hart erkampftes Dasein hinter sich zu lassen, von dessen Grenzen, Lugen und finanziellen Problemen sie sich zunehmend eingezwangt gefuhlt hat. Der stets omniprasente Einfluss ihrer dominanten Familie hatte nicht nur ihr soziales Leben, sondern auch ihre generelle Sicht auf die Welt allzu sehr mitbestimmt. Marias dramatische Vergangenheit zieht nun in Fragmenten noch einmal an ihr vorbei, wahrend sie in ihrem Gelandewagen vor allem davon fahrt, im Ruckspiegel eine brennende Insel im Blick. Auf der Ruckbank liegt ein Koffer voller Geld und vor ihr die offene Strasse, auf der sie immer schneller wird und fur niemanden anhalt...
